More From the Glacier

We decided to take one last trip out before all the tourists arrived (first boat came in yesterday).  It was a sunny day and pretty peaceful out there with only a few locals milling about.  The highlight was the number of icebergs in the water.  There were far more than I remember there being in years past.  Any potential kayak trips to the ice caves will have to wait until the icebergs thin out a bit.  We have no plans of re-enacting James Cameron’s Titanic, or the historical sinking of that same ship.

We decided to let Barkley run free and explore the glacier as he saw fit…

Ha, not really.  If he saw another dog, we would have to hike a mile to find him again.  But he and I did take a nice little walk out to this sandy peninsula…
